Backpack Program
July 28th, 2010We are currently accepting donations for our annual Backpack Program! As little as $20 will help a Del Norte County child receive much-needed school supplies. Thank you.
Family Movie Matinee
July 13th, 2010You voted and the winner, by one vote, is Shaun the Sheep in ‘One Giant Leap for Lambkind!’
We will show this film on July 23rd at 3:00 pm. It is unrated but suitable for all audiences.
Joining us will be a new partner, 4-H! They will do a food distribution and host a craft for children! Network for a Healthy California and the Tobacco Use Prevention Program will also be present to provide education and information.
Time Out for Parents
July 12th, 2010The FRC is pleased to announce a NEW program: Time Out for Parents!
A respite program that provides parents of children, ages 0 – 5 years old, with a way to stay CALM, COOL, and CONNECTED.
Join us every Wednesday, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, in a safe and nurturing environment where children can play, learn, and socialize while parents relax and take some time for themselves. This is a great way to connect with other parents, share ideas, and develop peer support. Both mothers and fathers are encouraged to participate. Parents must remain on the premises.

June 28th, 2010Happening this week at the FRC:
On Wednesday, at 3:15 pm, Dr. Christy Seed will facilitate Newbies, a support and suggestion group for parents of infants 6 months old and younger.
On Friday, at 4:30 pm, Crafts with Maria presents County Fair Creations! Your child can create a masterpiece to show at the Del Norte County Fair, happening August 5th – 8th. Junior art exhibit entry forms are due July 24th.
This Week!
June 7th, 2010We have some exciting announcements for this week!
On Wednesday, June 9th, Newbies, a support and suggestion group for parents of infants less than 6 months old, starts at 3:15 pm.
On Friday, June 11th, Family Movie Matinee begins at 3:00 pm. We will be showing Disney’s ‘Snow White.’ Free snacks and, as always, attending children may enter a drawing to win a copy of the DVD shown. Printable flier.
And, on Saturday, June 12th, we will have our first Summer Sing Along! Join LIVE MUSICIANS and sing old favorites like ‘Twinkle, Twinkle’ and ‘Old MacDonald.’ The singing begins at 1:00 pm. Printable flier.
